Welcome to Tour de Cure's online grant application service, powered by SmartyGrants.

Annual Grants Round 2026–2027 opens on 1 August 2026

Tour de Cure’s mission is to improve cancer outcomes for Australians. By funding Australian researchers, scientists, and clinicians, we help advance better treatment, diagnosis, prevention, support and care.

We are proud to open a new Annual Grant Round in 2026, made possible by the continued support of our community, partners, and fundraisers.

This year, applications are invited in the following categories:

  • Early Career Research Grant
  • PhD Scholarship
  • Prof Richard Scolyer Award for Brain Cancer Research for Early, Mid and Senior Career Researchers.

The Tour de Cure Grants Committee follows an ethical, independent, and transparent selection process when reviewing applications. We are committed to funding innovation and excellence, using our resources to support the best Australian-based projects and researchers. As a cancer-agnostic organisation, we consider applications across all cancer types.

Demonstrating a rigorous selection process, choosing the strongest projects, and maintaining sound project governance. All grant applications are assessed on merit.

An EOI (Expression of Interest) is required for all research grant categories listed. EOIs are reviewed in Round One by the Tour de Cure Grants Committee. Successful applicants are then invited to submit a full grant application in Round Two, which is assessed in detail by the Grants Committee who then makes recommendations to the TDC Board for final decisions in December.

Institutions supporting individual researchers may submit no more than two applications per grant category. This limit applies even where an intermediary body, such as a foundation, applies on behalf of the researcher. There is no limit on the number of PhD Scholarship applications but please be mindful of your submission number’s.
